We have the privilege of beginning with the truth, God’s truth and we are committed to creating opportunities for our students to encounter our Living God. By having a Christ-centered environment, training our staff in the nurture of spiritual development, praying with and for our students and families, following Biblical teaching and a Christian Worldview, we educate the whole child. As we design any aspect of the curriculum, we consider how it will affect our children’s hearts, minds, bodies, and souls. Our rigorous academic program is based on State standards; national standards; our Christian Heritage Academy Student Outcomes, Philosophy of Education and Core Values; current research; proper pedagogy; and brain development. A variety of materials are used, some of which is secular in nature, and our unique process of Biblical Integration teaches our students how to think critically and how to use the Bible as the infallible measuring stick for what they are learning. One of our goals is to push learning beyond the textbook. So we vary our curriculum year to year based on student interest, relevant field trips, and updates in technology to give our students meaningful experiences. Measurable learning is another one of our goals. Assessment techniques in all of the four areas of assessment; 1) screening, 2) diagnosing, 3) progress monitoring, and 4) accountability; create a balanced program that consistently drives instruction and professional development. We value our teachers and believe that if our teachers are supported, trained, inspired and held accountable, they will be effective in the classroom, promoting greater student achievement. Our Living Curriculum Teachers help students learn how to resolve conflicts, strengthen their weaknesses, gain confidence, love the Lord, think critically, and more. For this reason, professional development and nurturing the continued spiritual growth of our faculty are considered to be crucial elements of our program.
